Daydream Nation

Hey all!

I first started using my DSLR camera in 2012 to take generic tourist-type pictures and the occasional outfit of the day shoot, and I've only just recently started to use my camera to capture more ephemeral moments. Don't get me wrong, I love shooting my OOTD posts but they don't have any intense emotion behind it. The pictures above were all taken yesterday after we went and saw the VIVID Light Festival in the city. We caught trains to and from our destination points, and even though I'm a CityRail regular, I found the train journeys quite soothing, and incredibly pretty. We ended up roaming around a small and eerily quiet suburb looking for a place to eat dinner (it was around 10pm), and then at around 10:45pm, it was decided upon that dessert was a good idea, so we ate a mountain of mango crushed coconut ice (I have no idea what it was called but those were the ingredients) even though it was around 10 degrees Celsius out (it was quite snug at our corner table though).

I tried to capture emotions and simple, delicate moments, and I'm content with how it turned out to be.
